I’ve found you have to hit that not interested button really quick. Don’t just scroll past. I’ve also blocked accounts if i get videos from the same accounts. Also going to your following page and watch/like/save/share as many as you can before going back to the fyp helps.

You can reset your algorithm. Just search reset my algorithm on TikTok and you’ll find instructions.

are you in the US? Tiktok is under new owners in the US and thus the algorithm has changed. Try using the following feed instead of the for you to see the accounts you want.

It’s been like that since around October 2025. I get nothing but spam and absurd accounts. I have to go seek out everything I want to actually see. Now they’re just taking down pages, especially black creator accounts for no reason. They’re doing the same here on Reddit. Spam and bot account everywhere with no real content just trying to force trends.

But like…we’re not supposed to know that. Honestly we need to start just moving to Bluesky and skylight permanently. Because eff oracle, Google and meta.

Algorithm may have reset upon new owners. Just use the search feature, search for things you enjoy, watch many of them, like them, etc. Do that for every type of content you enjoy. Your daily feed should update gradually to show content you enjoy.

Try YouTube Shorts also in similar way if tiktok isn't working well enough for you.

Suppose you get a hate filled video in your feed, it’s so awful that you glance at it for a microsecond before swiping away, the algorithm notices that, so even though you watched it out of a weird bizarre fascination with how bad it was.. the algorithm starts sending you more material like that.. until eventually it’s taken over your feed, and maybe you
