Downloading not working

I have been dabbling in posting content on the side for a couple months now. I stream and clip and post content to tt. I use CapCut to turn hour long streams into clips and automatically upload from CapCut to TikTok. CapCut will automatically store videos in under private. I usually make a bunch of clips and pick and choose to download one to post at a time as I please. I’ve taken note that since Tt switched ownership, the download feature has been quite quirky. I used to get around it by unprivating the video, then downloading it and uploading it. That does not work at all now. For some reason tt allows me to download other people’s videos, but not my own??? This has just been really frustrating me. Is this happening to anyone else? Have you found a way around it?
