Go to /r/birding and they will downvote you if you say birdwatching in a landfill is absurd behavior.

I’m an avid birdwatcher, but would never think of spending a day in rat shit to see a rare bird. It’s dumb.

Not to mention, birding is supposed to support conservation, and a lot of the richer birders fly all over the globe. Their carbon footprint must be astronomical.
