Any solution for audience change?

Hi!

I have been posting gaming content and memes for almost a year and it has never gotten improved because of my location. I live in iraq and sadly there is a very very small audience that would actually enjoy my content so i believe like %1-%3 of people only. When I first made tiktok, ofc my fyp was full of local stuff which i really dont enjoy at all and ofc they are the people who’d never enjoy or understand my content. I searched for gaming stuff to change my fyp hoping it will make a change but it has been almost a year my account is just fixed on iraq and i am sure my videos are getting recommended to people who dont even know english or dont even know anything about video games. 2-3 days ago i decided to go live and was curious to see who would actually join. I wrote “english only” and i was expecting my livestream to get recommended to foreigners or at least people who can speak english but all I got was local people who dont know much about games or they dont like the type of games I play.

I feel really stuck like this. any ideas?

Location targeting on TikTok can be really frustrating especially when your content doesn't match with local audience. I had similar issue when posting content that wasn't popular in my area

Try engaging heavily with international gaming creators - like and comment on their stuff consistently for few weeks. The algorithm should start picking up that you want to be part of that community instead of local one. Also maybe use more english hashtags and trending gaming sounds from US/UK creators rather than anything that might signal your location

Worth trying VPN too but be careful with that since TikTok doesn't like it much. Some people say it works for changing your audience over time but results vary a lot
