age restriction glitch???

hello! i was age restricted on tiktok (i am old enough) today and sent in an appeal. the appeal was denied, so i sent in a second one and that appeal was approved! however, tiktok is still not letting me message my friends due to their “privacy settings,” and i am not sure how to fix it! i cleared out my cache and logged out and back into my account but i am still having this issue.
