How can I use tiktok in China??

i am currently in china and i cannot use tiktok at all!! i have a bunch of streaks i dont want to lose but i cant get on the app no matter what

i tried using a VPN but my phone still knew my location and that i was in china so thats a no-go ☹️(unless you have a really good free VPN app that i could try)

the removing sim card method is really annoying because whenever im outside and want to doomscroll for a while i dont want to have to remove my sim just for those few minutes + i wouldnt have any data to scroll anyway

and then the deleting tiktok and redownloading on a different website i cant do because i have a lot of drafts on my phone that i dont want to lose

surely there HAS to be other options right?? please im so desperate im going to be in china for 2 weeks and i cant live a day without tiktok

(something thats really weird is that i ALWAYS used to be able to use tiktok in china in macau, hongkong and such but ik visiting chongqing rn and it suddenly decides to not work!! it worked earlier today but then i had a problem with my internet so i did remove my sim card and i think thats what caused my tiktok to stop running)
