Why can't I send any images on my tik tok?

So I'm from India, and currently using tiktok via vpn. Although I have access to almost every regular thing on the app, but for some reason I can't send any images (i can comment images ) on dms or watch any tik tok live. Is there any problem with my app? Cuz it's beta. I downloaded it from uptodown.

If yes, then can y'all suggest me an alternative?
