When I reply to a particular comment in a thread it sends it to the wrong comment

This happens with literally every reply, and I’ve triple checked each time to make sure I’m not just fat-fingering the reply button or something. It’s especially annoying when trying to assist somebody in need of information and suddenly I’ve replied to somebody ten comments down. Just wanna know if there’s a fix or if this is common
