(Maybe Dumb) Question from Newbie.

Hi! I am an elder millennial who is new to TikTok. I have a question that might be stupid. When people upload story time-like videos, aren’t they worried that the person they are discussing will see it?

For example, let’s say it’s a TikTok about a friend they are angry with and they ask people to tell them what they think in the comments. Aren’t they worried that the friend will see the TikTok and it will be really awkward?

Or let’s say someone posts a TikTok explaining their messy divorce. Won’t it be weird for their coworkers, acquaintances, etc. to see it?

Maybe I’m more private than the average person, but I just cannot imagine making a negative TikTok about someone I know. Isn’t the other person like “hey, why did you make that weird/mean TikTok about me?”

Are most story time TikToks made up or do some people just not care if absolutely everyone sees it?

I always wonder this, same with standup comedians who talk about people they have personal beef with

i wonder the same thing especially if they say the name of the person they’re talking about! i can understand it more if it’s anonymous but i don’t get the people that share everything online.
