Unknown messages sent on my account

This is an extremely odd one but earlier my friend showed he had received messages from me saying some very random things, which i had 0 memory of every typing. When i looked on my tiktok. But when I then used the search messages function it briefly showed all the messages as responses to videos which my friend had of "sent". But my friend had never sent those videos and on his screen it showed them as just messages not replies to videos. After trying to check again they'd all disappeared on my end but still remained on his. I wondered if it was messages that I'd sent to someone else and TikTok had a bug with who was supposed to receive it but the issue with that theory is that I could not see me ever saying the messages on my account in any messages id ever had. I immediately enabled 2FA and changed my password just to be safe but does anyone have any idea what might have happened?
