Are promotions cringe?

I started a TikTok to make some internet friends anonymously about my interests and because I’m shadow blocked it’s not reaching to anybody, only profile views happen

There’s a promotion feature and I’m debating it to hopefully start it so I can have people actually see my videos but like I feel like it’s embarrassing to have that promoted video there. Would this be cringe or am I overthinking it.
