Why did tiktok remove my unavailable favourited videos?

I can't seem to find some of the videos that I saved. At first I thought I was mistaken that I hadn't actually saved them but then I realised that none of my unavailable bookmarked tiktoks were there.

Later I saw a message asking me if I'd like to remove the unavailable videos for "a fluid experience" whatever that means.

I just wonder why? Who would think this was a good idea ?
