Why is my fyp full of random content I don’t even like?

Me too, I hate it

Entirely why I came to this subreddit today. My FYP is all sorts of fucked up, videos from months ago, no accounts that I follow, subjects I'm not interested in, and only 50-300 views on every video shown to me.

I tried swiping on my "following" tab and it's not even showing the people I follow's latest videos.

I've found this happens periodically when they don't want certain information getting out. It never been this bad before.

I hate all these "creators" showing how to go viral showing up on my fyp.

Your overlords are resetting your recommender settings to random bullshit so you don't see what's happening in the world.

Mine seemed to change to crap within just a few hours ago, with lots of propaganda too. Wtf.

Im getting terrible content that I never watch like about love island, Fox News, ai videos, politics, people reacting to love island. It’s just terrible and sloppy. It started happening within the last day or two I think. Oh also I’m getting videos in Vietnamese, Spanish and Russian sometimes. I don’t speak those languages lol

Yes me too! It’s driving me crazy. I’ve never interacted with such content so not sure what the heck is going on with TikTok right now.

Same. Came here to see if it was just me. It’s total garbage. I usually have interesting, thoughtful, smart creators in my feed and now it’s nothing I would ever care to watch.
