Why is the search engine so horrible?

Most of the content is going to be in the video, and usually the description is minimal or potentially not even existent. So whatever you search for, the app has to basically be using algorithm data and that can be spotty or counter-intuitive compared to how people see search functionality.

I literally searched for this sub to ask this question. It’s getting to a point. Sometimes the topic is very obvious and previously used to show many results, now everything is random no matter what i search. It’s really frustrating.

Mines been the same. The search engine on tikto used to be really good for me. Now when I search I usually get no relevant videos, or maybe 1-2. The rest are all random, ones of liked or seen already and people I follow.
