The most optimal time to have blown up on TikTok is in its early stages
Think about it: back in 2018-2019, the app was still new and experimental. Barely anyone was using it, which means it was more of an opportunity to gain hundreds of followers. And then during the lockdown we had, that was an even bigger opportunity for popularity since now EVERYONE was trying out TikTok. And plus everyone was letting their creativity flourish without THAT MANY hate comments. Nowadays, the app is so broadly used that 1.5 million views is not that impressive. Then you have the constant negativity on anyone being creative, the ai slop, the constant TikTok shop posts/ads, and now brands are using the app too. Blowing up seems impossible now. I miss the early days…
