Because most people just scrolled by, according to ur stats most stopped watching after 0.01 second so they are more than likely just scrolling views instead of watching it all the way thru

Those don’t look like good stats for an 8.4 second long video. Ideally you want a retention of like at least 100% since it’s such a short video and you want your watch completion to be at least 60% of course these stats don’t guarantee going viral it just gives you a better chance

Because randos stopping to watch is not the same as randos stopping to watch and then sharing the hell out of it and telling everyone they've ever known about it so that every other rando can now see it too, making it viral.

That's my guess.

I think Share/Reshare is the most important metric. I have a video that got to 100k views with less than 200 likes and less than 100 comments.

I think test batching and views based of retention is stupid. Like someone said most people are gonna scroll at one percent. If the algorithm is trash and not showing it to People who were actually interested. In the newish AI is not exactly great at sorting.. of course it’s gonna fail. I also feel like there are intentionally shadow banning people’s videos to get them to pay for promote. So I think a viral video at this point is just pure luck. Personally I just wanted to have fun on TikTok. I don’t wanna do all of this extra shit like having a hook. Or using some new feature. Because the most common thing that they say is that you need to have someone hooked within three seconds. Well? these people don’t even watch three seconds of your video anyways. Yet again, if the algorithm is even putting it in front of people that have that interest.

I swear to God if I hear something about crater search insights one more time. I will actually lose my mind. It’s basically telling you that TikTok wants this type of content. It’s a nice guideline for some. I feel takes away from people’s creative freedom in total honesty.
Which is the beauty of TikTok. And I feel like they’re killing it.

Sorry for the rant.
