Somebody please diagnose my account

Just wondering exactly what the hell I'm doing wrong here. I had this account for almost 2 years and the results are so depressing. I'm getting stuck in that 200 to 300 view jail, CONSTANTLY, I'm getting extreme like to view ratios (extreme in a bad way), like sometimes over a thousand views, but 10 to 20 likes,, comments come around seemingly when the stars align, and according to the analytics on most of these, people are just barely skimming through them. Am I missing something here? Is there too much "dead air" in the first three seconds, (trying to work on that) do videos perform better when there's tex on them? I seriously need to know everything I need to do to fix this.
