Multitasking with PIP

My iphone keeps being connected to other WiFi's so I've kept TikTok minimized while Settings screen is open.

When I attempt to exit PIP (back to screen size) the live Tik Tok that I'm viewing is automatically changed to the next reel.

Why is this occurring? How can I fix this?
