I just got this notification today, and I sent in an appeal. I showed my ID, but for some reason I got an email back saying it unqualified.
So I tried the “take a selfie” option instead, and TikTok thought I looked 16-17 years old.
I’m 19, nearly 20. Is there anyway I can update this just to be safe? I know TikTok is 13+, but just for the fact that TikTok thinks I’m a minor.
Yooo same thing happened to me last month! I’m 19, almost 20 and TikTok also said I looked 16-17.😭 i didn’t go the ID route, but do you have a passport? When I found out i couldn’t join their Spider-Man event because it was marked as 18 and over for some reason, I went to the help center which is located all the way down the settings and started a chat with their support system. you will be prompted to choose either of the verification options, if you do have a passport, take a picture of it and send it in. And they will correct your age.
That happened to me too but....I was able to appeal it. Honestly if people wanted to know my age they just had to ask me
This happened to my niece a few days ago who ironically meets the minimum age requirement, unfortunately most 13 year olds don’t have a government issued ID. lol rip our 200 streak

I got this too and I’m 25! I just appealed :,) though now they just think I’m 16 lol
Id never works, that's how I got my account marked as underage. Use a debit card.
