Friends account hacked

For context my friend passed away last year. Today I woke up and his profile had viewed my page and unfollowed me. I sent a DM saying if it had been hacked to please leave the account alone since he was a close friend that had passed away. His profile then viewed my account again then blocked me which I know none of his family members would do since I’m also very close with them. Is there anything I can do to recover his account? I am very distraught over this.
