Why do I get Tik Tok likes?

I have a question. I do have an account but it is likely one of the quietest ones on record. I don’t post anything and I only joined to follow a few friends and see their posts. Nevertheless I get occasional messages saying I have “10 new likes” or 11 or 12. How? I’m not an influencer or content creator and I’m not trying to sell anything. Usually you only get likes after posting something and I never have. Does anyone have an opinion on why this is happening? It is just so weird to me.
