Tiktok sucks for content creators.
Can someone seriously explain what TikTok has been doing to creators over the last few years? Because I am losing my mind.
When I first started posting years ago, I was actually making decent money, maybe around $100 a month. Fast forward to now, and even when a video does well, I get paid literally 3 cents.
To make matters worse, every single video I post gets hard-capped in the exact same view jail. It’s always the exact same cycle: 400 views, 350 views, 450 views, 500 views, 400 views, and then it just flatlines. There is zero chance they are actually pushing my content to the FYP or to my 30k followers.
What makes zero sense is that I can take the exact same short, upload it to YouTube, and pull in tens of thousands of views. I thought TikTok was supposed to be the best app for getting discovered, but it's impossible when every single video feels like it's completely locked in place.
Anyone else dealing with this garbage or know how to fix it?
