Has anyone had problems after changing a TikTok Shop Marketing Account to Creator features?

I’m trying to work out if anyone else has experienced this.

I had a TikTok account connected to my TikTok Shop as a Marketing Account and it had been working normally for promoting my own products.

I then enabled Creator features because I wanted to try earning some affiliate income as well.

Almost immediately afterwards the account stopped being usable for what I had been using it for.

TikTok initially told me that enabling Creator features had caused an account-status conflict because the profile was already connected to my seller setup.

My shop itself is established and TikTok confirmed a history of 1,157 orders, so there was no issue with the legitimacy of the shop.

I told them I was completely happy to stop using Creator features and just wanted the profile returned to its previous Marketing Account setup.

After several conversations I’ve basically reached a dead end and still can’t get the account restored to how it was before.

Has anyone else changed a TikTok Shop Marketing Account to Creator features and ended up in the same situation?

If so, were you ever able to return it to a normal Marketing Account?
