" Maximum number of attempts reached. Try again later " trying to reset password

My girlfriend is trying to reset her password since she got a new phone and got rid of the old one. She is unable to log into TikTok. she doesnt know her password, so we tried last night to reset her password, and it keep saying " Maximum number of attempts reached. Try again later " even if we did it once...

We don't want loosing our almost 2 years streaky. Contacted support, and they didn't do anything. Anyone who experienced this as well?
