Cannot add number to new acc

I just recently created a new TikTok account and I’m trying to add my number and it’s not allowing me to do so and it states for “ security reasons “ but I’m not really sure what could be the issue or when should I try again, it’s been about 2 days now with the same issue. I did try to get assistance from TikTok ai support, which is completely useless.
