How to sync up audio when editing?

Im going to try and make TikToks and reels where I lip sync or transition to the beat. How do I do that? I know for reels you can legally add audio tracks in the app but how do I edit with the audio to make sure it syncs? Do I just have to edit the video with audio then take it out then add it back in in the app? Sorry if im not making sense.
