I wouldn’t have believed this if I didn’t experience it myself.

When my dad died I got really depressed and gained a lot of weight rapidly over a few years while also being sedentary.

The “you don’t know how to hide your breathing yet” was so real haha.

Also just learning to navigate with a fat body…

Idk I know it wasn’t like this but it was like I just woke up one day 100lbs heavier.

Edit: I’ve since lost the weight and the changes you notice are just insane.

I remember the things I noticed as I gained weight. First it was that I couldn’t run anymore because the belly would bounce around throwing my balance off completely.

Then I noticed chairs creaking as I sat down, then I broke a lawn chair and realized I couldn’t sit in certain places anymore.

The breathing was last and I only noticed because I took a video of my cat purring but my breathing was louder.

When I started losing weight I bought a compression shirt to keep my belly and titties from bouncing as I tried running again. Ended up with overuse injuries on both my feet after 5 days of barely jogging like 30 second bursts at a time.

I don’t need that shirt anymore and I’m up to jogging the short ends around the block without any pain in my feet.

Feels really good to be normal sized again.

I fucking died lmao it’s so true.

I went from 93lbs dying in a hospital bed and then shot up nearly 100lbs thanks to a metric fuck ton of prednisone. Moving around was HARD. Lupus got stable-ish, got off the prednisone and I’m now down to 115lbs.

As a new fat this is so painfully true 😭

gotta give chairs an ocular patdown to see if they can handle your girth

opting for tables instead of booths UNLESS the table can move in which case you take the booth of course

going up a flight of stairs near other fats and competing to see who's the least fat fat in who struggles the least to get to the top and who sounds the least like they're about to die
