Who gets the engagement ring if the wedding is called off?

Even if the ring wasn't expensive, it's a symbol of a promise. Like a symbol of a pending contract. If the promise doesn't go through or the contract isn't finalized, you return the symbol. What's the point of keeping the ring from your ex anyway?

It's a conditional gift. If they don't get married then the conditions weren't met and she has to return the ring. It's the law.

Yeah you gotta give the ring back. We’re talking house down payment money or months of net income here. Come on now, it’s alright not to marry the guy (remember “no” is a full sentence) but give him four months of his career back.

It depends. If she calls it off, she gives it back bc its acceptance means the promise of marriage. If he calls it off, she keeps the ring as a gift bc he broke the promise.

I don’t know about giving it back but why can’t this guy sit up when he makes a video?
