My own music is muted in my videos

Hi there, i don't know where to post, but i have Tiktok for Artist, and spotify, deezer, itunes blablabla.. associated to my profile.

I posted a Tiktok video with a sound in the background, and this sound is mine (and even available on the Music tab of my profile) but Tiktok keeps muting it.

How to avoid that? I'd like to promote my music but Tiktok keeps muting it.

Note that the videos being muted actually is a bit longer than one minute.

Thanks !

thats weirdly common actually. tiktok’s copyright detection is dogshit and it’ll flag your own stuff half the time because the system just sees a waveform match in its database and doesn’t check if you’re the rights holder

try trimming the clip to under 60 seconds first since you mentioned the muted ones are all longer. tiktok’s licensing deals with distributors get real screwy once you cross that one-minute mark, even for your own tracks

also go into your sound page and make sure the track is actually added to the tiktok sounds library from your artist account side, not just sitting in your music tab. sometimes it needs that extra step before the algo stops treating it like stolen audio

worst case just use the official sound from your own profile instead of uploading the raw file in the video. annoying extra step but it usually stops the mute

check whether the track is being claimed by your distributor or rights manager, even if it’s your song. tiktok can mute longer videos when the sound isnt cleared for that use. try a shorter test with the original audio selected in-app, then compare it with a clean export.
