Went viral on my Facebook page (20M views) but barely earning. What should my next steps be?

Hey everyone, looking for advice from social media managers or anyone who’s grown a page that actually makes money.

My page is in the geography and history niche. Recently it blew up:

  • Facebook: 20M views, around 75K followers
  • TikTok: [75K] followers
  • YouTube: [8K subscribers / 100K views?]

The problem is I’m only earning from views, and it’s not much. I want to figure out how to turn this growth into real income.

Right now my “strategy” is just uploading good content every week, plus some photo posts. That’s it. I don’t have an actual plan.

So my questions are:

  1. What should I be doing daily or weekly to keep the momentum going?
  2. What are the best ways to monetize a Facebook page beyond view payouts?
  3. How should I be connecting Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube so they help each other grow?

Any techniques, tips, or next steps would be a huge help. Thanks in advance!

Check your audience locations before pitching history publishers or tour operators. Twenty million views won't tell them whether you're reaching their potential customers.

I’d run a four-week test around one repeatable geography or history series. Post short versions natively on Facebook and TikTok, then point interested viewers to a fuller YouTube video. Offer a free map or quiz through your profile links and track signups by topic each week. If one topic consistently brings people back and gets signups, test a small paid map or quiz pack around it. That gives you a clearer signal than views alone.

Benifits of not using smartphone

I am(21M) we are 4 members in my family my younger sister and my parents . My mom runs a small shop and my father too. We all have smartphones except my mom. Over 5 years we are using phones. But my don't have a smartphone or any phone she doesn't even know how to use it. At the night when father comes home and she too then she watch some serial in phone. I noticed she is more happier than 3 of us. She is extremely focused on her work and doesn't complain for anything and handle all the situation very wisely. She knows the real world and not influenced by the fake social media world.

Deleting all social media, best decision ever

No you cannot keep up with me, you will not know anything about my life or see updates with my appearance. I used to have a little following and after Covid maybe 2023 I had a realization about family & “friends” when I would take breaks they would say “You haven’t posted in a while” or they would question why I deleted or temporarily deleted profiles. But I noticed we barely had conversations on phone or texting… just them watching me online. Now I am permanently gone there is no photos of me on the internet if you want to see me or talk to me you will have to call me or reach out in some way.l or be reciprocal when I reach out. I am not an image on the internet I am a human being with a beating heart. Also after receiving stalking or weird jealousy about photos even though my whole life I was told because of my height and “ beauty” that I should be a model but once I tried it made people call me conceited or XYZ, like no…all of you guys overly talk about my appearance since I was a child constantly so I tried to do what everyone said my whole life and all it did was cause a rift due to me receiving attention. I don’t want internet fame or to be observed online. Something else is I had this happen a few times where men would take my innocent selfies NO CLEAVEDGE NO SKIN showing and I would be the green screen and them videoing themselves jacking off to me. All of social media is disturbing it makes people compare themselves and be weird and perverted that’s all. 3 years no social media 💪 join the wave

Just been hit by Meta One link limit!

I run social media for a charity here in the UK, and we regularly post content linking to parts of our website, event links for other organisations etc from our Facebook page. As of today (it didn't show up yesterday) we can only post 2 links a month without paying a fortune?! How is everyone getting round this or are we all needing to just fork out?

How do you check that video captions are easy to read before publishing?

Do you check text size, timing and contrast on a phone, or use another method? I would like a simple check that can be repeated before publishing, especially for viewers reading in a second language.

I want to start a business content page, but I haven’t built a business myself. Is this idea worth pursuing?

I’m 23, and I’ve realised that I genuinely enjoy talking about businesses, understanding how they work, and asking founders questions. I’m also willing to put in the effort to learn, read, research and upskill myself. But there’s one thing I’m confused about. I haven’t built a business of my own, so I don’t feel qualified to give people business advice or act like a coach. I don’t want to pretend that I know everything when I’m still learning myself. Instead, I want to start a business content page where I talk to founders and document how they actually built their businesses. Think about it: there are already so many podcasts where people interview CEOs of large companies. I enjoy watching them, but I often come away feeling motivated rather than knowing what I should actually do to get started. These founders have achieved incredible things, but some of their strategies were relevant to a different time. The market, technology, customer behaviour and opportunities have changed significantly. Someone trying to start a business in 2026 might be dealing with a very different reality. **What I want to understand is the actual zero-to-one journey.** I want to talk to founders who started relatively recently, perhaps four or five years ago, and have managed to build businesses generating several crores in revenue or even reach the million-dollar mark. I want to ask them questions like: * How did you identify the problem you wanted to solve? * How did you validate your idea before investing money? * How much capital did you actually need to get started? * What did your first few customers look like, and how did you acquire them? * What mistakes cost you money, and what would you do differently if you were starting today? * If someone wanted to build a business in 2026, with limited money and no business background, where should they begin? I’m particularly interested in the decisions, failures and practical steps that often get lost when we hear the polished success story. I also feel that many people want to start something of their own but are afraid of taking the risk. They’re unsure whether to quit their jobs, how much money they need, whether their idea is good enough or whether they should even begin. I’d like to create content that helps people understand these decisions through the experiences of people who have actually gone through them, instead of simply telling them what they should do. I’m not claiming to be a business expert. My role would be to ask better questions, find interesting founders, research their businesses and make their experiences useful for people who are just starting out. **My questions for people here:** 1. Does this concept offer any real value, or would people see it as just another founder interview page? 2. Would you watch short videos that break down the actual process of building a business, rather than long podcasts about successful people? 3. What would make this kind of content genuinely useful to someone who wants to start a business but doesn’t know where to begin? 4. Do you think not having built a business myself would make it difficult to build credibility, even if I’m interviewing people who have? I’m not looking for motivational comments or people telling me to just follow my passion. I’d genuinely appreciate criticism, especially from people who have built businesses or tried creating content in this space. I’m trying to figure out whether this is a worthwhile idea to pursue and, more importantly, what I might be missing.

Low views on TikTok because I moved?

Hi, I’m not too sure where to post this but I’m having trouble with TikTok right now. I lived in New York and posted on TikTok a lot and I had no problems with views and comments and likes. I just landed in Cambodia two days ago and I started to post content last night. I noticed that since I came to Cambodia posting on TikTok, none of my videos have been getting any views whatsoever. I’ve been stuck on zero for a whole day now. I’ve tried to contact TikTok and they were no help at all, which is disappointing so I’m trying to figure out if me moving to Cambodia is causing the issue if anybody knows how to deal with this situation I would greatly appreciate it. Also, some more information is that my My Verizon data is still working on New York terms, but I am using Cambodia Wi-Fi here. I tried almost everything. I did my research as best as I can, but now I’m stuck and I don’t know what to do when posting my content.
