Anyone actually running their socials fully on AI agents? Does it work or is it just AI slop?

Hey guys, quick question for the digital marketers / social media managers here (and anyone in that world).

For those of you using AI agents to do your copywriting automatically, and even making the media hooks too, is it actually effective? Or do people just avoid it because it feels like it lost the human side (aka "AI slop")? Has anyone actually run this setup for real? Would love to hear your take.

I keep seeing people who don't even touch their phone or laptop to post on their socials, because an AI agent runs the whole thing start to finish. Honestly I'm skeptical it really works. Volume-wise, sure, maybe. But quality-wise? Idk.

Ngl I'm kinda curious about it, but still pretty skeptical at the same time.

I see and easily detect accounts that do that after few days... most of time I unfollow , thats why I dont do that... will never let ai do everything without my supervision

I can see them helping with drafts and scheduling, but I'd be wary of letting one publish everything. The hooks are where the generic stuff stands out to me. I'd want a person checking those and any specific claims before they go up.

Ran versions of this for a while, so here’s the real answer: the fully hands-off “I never touch my phone, the agent does everything” setup is mostly slop, but not for the reason people think. It’s not that AI can’t write it’s that the hard part of good content was never the writing. It’s taste, timing, and having actually lived something worth saying. An agent has none of that. It can generate infinite competent-sounding posts that are about nothing, and the algorithm is brutal at sniffing out “competent but empty” it just stops showing it to people. So you get volume and silence.

Where it actually earns its keep is as an accelerator with you still in the loop. Turning one idea into ten hooks, drafting so you’re editing instead of staring at a blank screen, repurposing a long video into clips, scheduling that’s labor, and AI crushes labor. The judgment calls (what’s actually worth posting, what the hook should feel like, when something’s off) stay with you. That combo is genuinely a cheat code.

The accounts you see “running fully on autopilot” are usually one of two things: slop that’s quietly getting no reach and no sales (the follower count means nothing), or there’s a human curating way more than the sales pitch admits.

So your instinct is right. Volume, yes. Quality, only if a human’s still holding the wheel. Full autopilot is how you post every day and still go nowhere.

What were you thinking of pointing it at your own stuff or clients’? The right amount of automation is pretty different for those two.

Fully hands-off, from what I've seen it gets the volume but not the results. Everything ends up with the same rhythm and the same kind of hook, and people scroll past it because it feels like nobody's actually there.

Where agents do help is the boring 80%: digging through what's working in your niche, drafting 5 different openings for one idea, captions, resizing for each platform, scheduling. That part honestly doesn't need a human.

The 20% that still needs you is picking which hook goes out, checking any claims, and adding something real (a photo you took, an opinion, a number from your own business). If you keep that bit human, agent-run socials work fine. If you skip it, that's when it turns into slop.

I use it for drafting and ideas, it gives you a lot of ideas, if you use raw Ai many times it looks like Ai slop even the tools that promote human like Ai content

btw MCP was just added to connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini etc to YouScaleIt

Why am I using 5 different tools to manage social media?

Maybe this is just me, but my social media workflow currently looks something like: ChatGPT → content ideas Canva → design Scheduler → publishing Analytics tool → reporting Inbox → replies Spreadsheet → planning And then I'm somehow supposed to call this an "efficient workflow"😂 I'm curious if anyone has actually found a social media management tool that brings more of this together. Especially now that Al tools are becoming more capable. Would you rather have one platform that can actually execute tasks, or do you prefer having separate best-in-class tools?

Youtube is doubling what it takes to get monetized, and theres a shorts rule in there most people skipped

youtube announced this in august and it kicks in february 1 2027. new channels will need 8,000 watch hours in the last 365 days, up from 4,000, or 20 million shorts views in the last 90 days, up from 10 million. the 1,000 subscriber bar stays. if youre already in the partner program youre grandfathered in, you just have to accept the new terms in studio by january 31 to keep earning on the affected features thats the headline everyone ran. the line i almost missed is on youtubes own help page. to earn from the shorts creator pool each month, creators will need to maintain 10 million qualified shorts views over the last 90 days. the page doesnt spell out whether that part hits people already in the program the same way 10 million every 90 days is a lot for a shorts channel doing fine but not great. you could be monetized on paper and still get nothing from the shorts pool in a slow stretch youtube says the point is to fund new incentive programs for creator growth. my read is the long tail of small shorts channels just got priced out of the pool and whatever was spread across them ends up with the top channels anyone here in ypp mostly on shorts, are you clearing 10 million a quarter right now

I keep seeing TikTok captions with clean spacing and line breaks, but I can’t figure out how people do it. When I hit the return/enter button, TikTok deletes the line break and smushes everything together. How are creators adding those spaces?

My client was paying for 20 hours and using 9. I almost lost them by saying nothing.

For three months I told myself a quiet client was a happy client. They were on a 20 hour a month retainer. When I finally added up what I had actually done, it came to about 9 hours in September and 8 in August. The posts went out, nothing broke, and I cashed the same check, so I did not look closer. Then their ops person asked on a call, almost as an aside, what the retainer covered again. That question is never really about the list. She could not feel the other 11 hours, so in her head the work had shrunk. I went back through the last quarter and wrote down what was scoped but unused: a monthly report nobody had opened since June, community replies I had quietly stopped doing when approvals slowed down, and a batch of story posts we planned and never shot. Some of that was on me. I had let the slow approval weeks turn into doing less instead of flagging it. So instead of defending the invoice, I brought the list to the next call. I showed the hours they were paying for, the hours they actually got, and three ways to fill the gap with work they had been asking about in passing: reply coverage on weekdays, one short video a week cut from footage they already had, and a simple monthly summary their owner would actually read. They picked two of the three and cut the unused report. Same fee, no discount, and the next month used 18 of the 20 hours. What I took from it: over delivering has a loud problem, you burn out. Under delivering has a quiet one, the client decides you are optional and you only find out at renewal. Now I check the burn rate on every retainer once a month, and if a client is under about two thirds of what they pay for, I raise it myself before they do. How do you catch this on your accounts? Do you track hours against scope, or do you go by deliverables only?

Anyone using Flick Social?!

I use Flick Social for work but lately I've been getting a "lost connection" error. This happens almost weekly. Now, I'm getting an error message that "This app is not accessible right now...". Anyone else having issues? Is there a workaround or am I stuck until Flick gets their act together??
