I think I know who Tik Tok is getting/got sold to and no, it's NOT Meta.

You know, everyone is speculating about the sale(probable) of Tik Tok and the Community is 100% sure it's Meta; however, if you go into a live, there's now an option to "subscribe"(paid) that is suspiciously like a certain other "Streamers of Choice" service.

It's Twitch, Tik Tok is Twitch now, which of course is Amazon. I am CALLING IT NOW because nobody else has.

I’m a streamer on TikTok and Twitch, and the subscription option has been there for a hot second now. I personally set it up last year, LONG before the blackout. This simply is not true, I’m saying this as a content creator who qualifies for the TikTok subscription program and has implemented it on my channel.

Interesting theory

I agree 100%. It's an obvious opportunity for Amazon. But it hasn't happened yet.

It would create a monopoly if Bezo's company controlled Amazon, prime, the Washington Post and Tik Tok. Meta and Google already have anti-Trust cases with the DOJ. Any of those companies merging with TT is a problem. The current administration might not do anything about it but there will be a new President in 2028 and they might not allow it. That isn't a viable solution for TT. When Trump originally signed the EO to ban TT he was going to have their U.S. data stored by Microsoft or Oracle so that might be more realistic. Microsoft owns LI but not any other major social media company so it wouldn't be a monopoly.

Think harder, OP 🙄

Why would it get sold? I'd prefer it not be yet another american owned media.
