Because it's technically, in the eyes of the law, still banned. It got passed in Congress and upheld by SCOTUS. Just because drump made an EO to extend, doesn't mean it got magically unbanned. Google, and Apple can still get fined for allowing downloads, so they have to pause it until the legislation changes.

I feel like my world got smaller

Feel free to laugh, but that’s what it felt like when I got the message that TikTok wasn’t available. I’m sad. But thank God our representatives, who have done nothing, finally united to make sure this happened. Don’t forget Trump started this whole thing when he said he wanted to ban it and also on August 6, 2020 signed an executive order to put sanctions on TikTok.

I dont think i can put into words what this app has done for me. I lost my dad a year ago and tiktok was genuinely the only thing that kept me sane. If this is truly the end if just like to say thank you. I know most everyone here has some type of storyof what TikTok means to them and if you want to share id love to hear them. Does anyone know why some high quality edits lag and then when you go search a certain video it fixes the lag? Like if you search the rapunzel edit then go back to your og edit it just fixes the lag. How come?

Account Lost?

Hey! Apologies if this is not allowed, however I’ve had this issue for about 8 months now. This is shown at the top of my profile, not allowing any of my videos or account to be recommended to others, simply just removing me off of the fyp. It isn’t visible to others, just myself. For context, my account is just videos of myself / things I do in day to day life - nothing confusing or misleading in the slightest. All my account checks come up clear too, none of my videos have been flagged. I’ve spent countless hours writing emails to support as well as going through every single internal support channel I can, all to no avail (they ghost me). I’d simply like to know what they think is misleading so that I can rectify. I’ve also sent my ID, also to no avail. Has anyone else been through this / knows what to do?
