A warning

I am posting this here as a warning to anyone else looking to redownload the app. I never deleted it, and I wish I had sooner. When the app was no longer banned, I found it to be heavily censored, with live and shop being removed. I also noticed my feed was replaced entirely with political talk, negativity, and worse. So here is my warning: if you redownload it, be ready for a lot of uncomfortable videos or videos you just don’t want to watch get forced into your feed. Also, be prepared for a LOT of ads. If doom scrolling or political talk is what you like, then go for it. But if you want to avoid it, I recommend keeping it uninstalled. There are other options to replace it with(look for the one you like best. I’ve found one I enjoy quite a bit). Just remember: if you redownload, be careful.

Tiktok has already been political and heavily censored since before the ban. Also Apple and google play dont have it available to redownload.

I deleted it the moment they started licking trumps taint. It’s going to be owned by Meta or First Lady Elon Musk so it’s not even worth revisiting.

I deleted it AND I’m a small business owner on Tik Tok. I don’t give af.. I will not support Trump, musk or his cronies.. EVER. I’m literally about to throw my dreams and family life vision away just because I hate this mf so much and being a lawyer is the only way to actually be in a position to change things.

Its just you honestly. All my friends and I's for you page and everything else has returned to normal. I get like 1 ad every 200-500 videos. Why are you seeing so many ads? The political content was because trump just got into office. What do you mean there wont be news about politics? Cause reddit sure as hell is all about trump news right now. 10x more than tiktok. It's Jan 23 and the algorithms moved on to the newer cali fires, lively and baldoni gossip, and etc.

Do yourself a favor and delete the app if its not what you like.

my FYP is the same few people over and over. No one i follow, no content i follow. The ONLY people who are on it i do follow are really super big creators. I can not block any accounts. The lives are all the fake lives of pre-recorded videos, the same thing over and over. It is all 100% political now. I did not follow politics before. I went out of my way to block them. Many creators are now getting community guidelines violations for things like a gay pride flag in their profile picture.

For the first time EVER, my husband had corn pop up on his. Hard core.

Hate the Fact that TIkTok proved the US is not a free country, but at least everyone knows now

I mean freedom is speech, gone. freedom of commerce, gone because only Mafia Dons hold a gun to your head and force you to sell your company, oh Mafia Don's and the corrupt US government. Freedom of association gone, and gone with a ruling fully hypocritical to their Citizens United Ruling that increased government corruption in the US. Seen this horrible account which is literally posing as a baby yet hating on this baby for no absolute reason

This account is basing themselves off of a baby called Jose who is the child of casluvalerio and kezinhavraau. They mainly post TikTok’s of their sons milestones and achievements, due to their son suffering from **congenital multiple arthrogryposis,**Couple of their TikTok’s have gone viral and it’s of their baby perseverance even though he has this horrible disability. And I have to say this family is amazing, they have taught their son to already say words and walk and even taught him to be independent, and so I never would’ve thought they would get any form of hate. Until I saw this account, I weirded out when I saw in one of their vids a comment stating “I am Jose” by this account, I thought it was fan till I looked on their profile and translated their description to see what it’s saying and u will see from my ss, so I checked their vids and I can’t understand the language that it’s in, but from the emojis it seems they are negative, worse part all of this is directed a wholesome family and a literal baby. Ive reported this account but I feel like it won’t be taken down.

If you unsend a TikTok private message, does the recipient still see it? And if it does go away in their side of the chat, then will they still see what it said in the notification, or does that go away too? They’re using Apple/iOS The message was sent at a time where they should be asleep
