PSA-Be careful of ever trusting any tik tok "famous" influencer you meet in public Re: Sherif_Shamaa
So a girl on Tik Tok Kenzie Swaine was traveling in Milan last year. She met the Tik Toker who has 1.5 million followers( Sherif_Shamaa) in Milan one day. She told him she was traveling alone and he asked her to meet up the next day to take her photos. ( you know like all those other popular street photographers who walk up to others on the street)
They met up at night at a restaurant. He didn't bring his camera. She thought it was very odd. Then, it was late she wanted to go home. And, she said she was going back to her Air bnb. And, she was very clear she was going home ALONE. Here is the tik tok of the story. https://www.tiktok.com/@wtffffkenzie/video/7511450011356417322?lang=en
Hope her vid goes viral so other tik tokers open a conversation about him and this kind of situation in general.
She was very clear she didn't want to be near him anymore! He wouldn't stop and insisted that he was in fact going home with her at night. The whole story sounds scary mixed in it was late at night and she was in a place she wasn't familiar with at all.
Basically he was very aggressive followed her back and it sounds like a very traumatic experience and if she didn't get away from him the worst could have happen. She said this happen a year ago.
But, this man https://www.tiktok.com/@sherif_shamaa was the guy.
I think its normal for people to see someone famous on social media and think "oh they might be normal and cool". Especially if someone has millions of followers with a check mark there is a false sense of security like "Oh this person is well known and legit" It was not her fault. She thought he was a professional person who was open to taking her pictures while on her trip and instead she got the biggest creep ever. And, luckily she was okay in the end.
I mean maybe not trusting a stranger is common sense, but we watch so many of our go to tik tokers every day and think we know them. And, there is a fake level of trust. So, always be cautious.
