Do Reposts not show up immediately?

Whenever my friends ask me to check their reposts sometimes it actually takes a full day for me to see it in their feed. Sometimes they repost some crazy videos and ask me to check so maybe the algorithm stops it?? Other times it’s a really regular vid to repost and for some reason I don’t see it on my end for a while. Whenever I do see it though it always pops up as “Reposted x amount of hours ago” so it has the time registered. I don’t know if the problems on my end or on the servers end.
