Full resonance Trinity with Archmage: is it possible?
I'm running CoC Comet and decided to try out Trinity as I have the spirit to run it.
The problem is that archmage gives so much added lightning damage that it causes any spell to only trigger lightning resonance.
Cold resonance is easy to solve for with Emibitter, which converts all that added lightning to cold.
I have not been able to find a solution for fire resonance. Occasionally I get little bits of it, which I think are from Explosive Impact which shouldn't get the added damage from archmage. Unfortunately the 5% chance to trigger isn't enough to sustain fire resonance.
Oddly, the only time I really capped out fire resonance was with a gloom shrine. I run blackflame covenant, so maybe the chaos damage from the shrine effect is counting toward fire resonance.
So I need either something that will convert or reduce the lightning damage on one specific spell, or something that will cause enemies to explode on death causing fire or chaos damage that won't get the added lightning from archmage. Sadly Palm of the Dreamer is not an option as it doesn't have enough spirit.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Another possibility would be some source of triggered/automatic fire (or maybe chaos) damage from hits that isn't a spell. Explode on death is the only example of this that I can think of off the top of my head, but there may be others.
Painter's Servant may work but in this case isn't worth it due to added suffix strain and loss of IIR.
