Is there a good Lighting Spear build ?

Oh yes very fun with herald chaining!!

I found using the Kitoko's Current gloves really helped my later progression. It makes all electric damage contribute to electrocute build up. Making it function a lot like freeze/chill does.

Other than that, just stack lightning/elemental/projectile/attack damage, drop in some herald buffs, and go to town.

I'm doing Lightning Spear as my first serious attempt to complete the campaign (just started playing the game as my main goto game).

My problem is that LIghtning Spear (with Herald of Thunder) is just so good that there's very little need to get clever. Don't bother rushing forward with a Rake and Disengaging back. Two Lightning Spears and they've have been dead already. ;)

So far the only combination that seems to make any sense is Lightning Spear then Thunder Lance? When the mob is Shocked. Even then I wonder if another Lightning Spear wouldn't be just as good.

It is good for cleaning trash, maps etc.

However later in the game you must use spear based skills that concentrate on bossing for burst damage. Something like rake/bloodhunt for instance.

I made a bleed/poison/ignite blood witch and Saitha’s barbed spear unique. The Vaal corrupted version of the spear can give an additional 400% increased physical damage.

Was quite fun, though maybe a basic rare spear would be better, but basically, all damage contributes to bleeding and poison, and you aggravate bleeding and ignite.

It’s nothing like 0.2 lightning spear, but still good fun.

I've been rocking a combo lightning spear and primal strikes set up. I use LS for mobbing and clearing out maps, and then thunderstorm with all the shock boosts with primal strikes for single target. I also use hand of chayula with elemental weaking and freeze mark for even more single target DMG

gain damage as physical on the weapon is required for leech mana
frenzy charges limit from 1st weapon does not go away if you switch them - still have 6 charges for barrage
atm I plan to get a 2 slot scepter for 30% presence area and corrupt my gems

if you really want to stay amazon, I would put embitter + bhatair's in the lightning spear for frenzy from freeze and manually cast sniper's mark + eternal mark on bosses, plus short fuse in the explosive spear.

or you can use resonance with bear talisman + fury of the mountain with brambleslam and rageforged 1 and 2 small fissues support to generate frenzy charges, put that weapon skillpoints all into attack speed and additional frenzy charges limit. that will use most rage and bear gains endurance charges from that converted to frenzy. both 50% chance for frenzy and endurance work for this in the weapon. you just tap fury of the mountain while mapping to get 2-4 frezy charges, takes 0,3 sec.
