The servers might be slowly splitting.

Found out they likely made a new server for international users. In the [Xiaohongshu User Privacy Policy](https://agree.xiaohongshu.com/h5/terms/ZXXY20230227002/-1): >In this Policy, "Xiaohongshu" refers to a product distinct from its overseas-operated version, "rednote". Users of Xiaohongshu and rednote are distinguished by their mobile phone numbers. This Policy applies to Xiaohongshu users, specifically: >Users who have registered with a mobile phone number from Chinese Mainland; and >Users who have already registered as Xiaohongshu users using a mobile phone number outside Chinese Mainland before December 8th, 2025. >After December 8th, if you register with a mobile phone number outside Chinese Mainland, you will be a rednote user and the rednote Privacy Policy shall apply. In the [rednote Privacy Policy](https://agree.xiaohongshu.com/h5/terms/ZXXY20251205002/-1): >Specifically, Xiaohongshu App operating in China will be interoperable with rednote Platform; this means that public User Content and profile can be shared and accessed by a user of Xiaohongshu platform, and you can communicate, interact with a user of the Xiaohongshu platform. TLDR: They're putting new foreign users after 12/8/2025 in a new Singapore-based server instead of China server. The new server is interoperable with China's server. EDIT: [Rednote (Intl)](https://agree.xiaohongshu.com/h5/terms/ZXXY20251205003/-1) and [XHS (China)](https://agree.xiaohongshu.com/h5/terms/ZXXY20250119002/-1) have different ToS. EDIT #2 (3/8/2026): changed TLDR because it might be more then just user data.

I saw videos talking about how this improved their art?

Is this true and if it is how do you use this app?

Someone help me through the appeal process

Hopefully someone who is familiar with xhs can help me through this. I’m a US netizen who recently made an account on xhs. My account has been suspended of functionality — I can’t post, comment, or send messages. I can still like and watch, follow, but that’s about it. I don’t know how long this is, but it says my account is “illegal”, so I’m trying to appeal my account. I posted two videos from TikTok, which I think is what got me in trouble (although I didn’t get an explanation as to why) and which I later deleted. When I try to appeal the account, it asks me for my ID, but I have no idea what I’m supposed to enter there. I can’t appeal the posts, because the ones that I thought were problematic are now deleted. (The language barrier in the help portal is also a struggle.) Anyone have any advice?

I built a free tool that converts your Instagram/Twitter posts into Xiaohongshu-ready content

Hey everyone, I'm an overseas content creator and I kept running into the same problem — I'd write a great Instagram caption in English, then spend 20 minutes trying to rewrite it for Xiaohongshu with the right tone, emojis, formatting, and hashtags. So I built a free tool to do it automatically: [miolab.dev/tools/repost](https://miolab.dev/tools/repost) **What it does:** * Paste any Instagram caption, tweet, or text * AI converts it into native Xiaohongshu style (not just translation — actual RED formatting) * Generates proper title, body with emoji structure, and hashtags * One-click copy, ready to paste into RED It handles the stuff that's hard to get right manually — the 姐妹们 tone, emoji placement as structural elements, bilingual mixing (keeping English brand names natural), and hashtag strategy. Completely free, no signup, no limits. Would love feedback from anyone who posts on both platforms. What would make this more useful for you?
