YouTube removed dislikes, and I FUCKING HATE THAT SHIT BECAUSE I CAN'T TELL IS A YOUTUBE IS BEING HATED BY PEOPLE OR NOT. And I don't fucking get why most social media platforms DON'T EVEN FUCKING HAVE DISLIKE COUNTERS TO LET YOU KNOW DO YOU FELL OFF OR NOT.

What you're fucking seeing in front of your eye is Battlefield 4's Battlelog. The use of Battlelog is took up what weapon you frequently use and what's your K/D ratio. You can even look at other player's stats about those shits.

Yes, I know there's YT studio but the REAL REAL motherfucking problem is that you can only see your own and you can't look at dislike counters on your own videos. Heck, why the fuck YT don't allow us to look at dislike counters in the fucking comment section. The fucking "Battlelog" I mean is that you can look up what's your favorite YouTuber, what's your most watched video of all time, how many hours you used YouTube in your life, what's your like and dislike ratio on your videos, your views and like ratio on your videos, your like and subscriber ratio on your videos, what's the best of those shits, subscriber retention (how many of your subscribers who keep watching your videos each time you upload them and their highest streak, so how it will break is when people don't watch the video you uploaded before after you uploaded a video) and what video does that shit and you can also look others as well, just like Battlefield 4's Battlelog. Comments?!?

No view counter, no dislike counter, no like and dislike ratio, no views and like ratio. No average like and dislike ratio of all of your comments of all time and how many times you commented in your lifetime. FUCKING SHAME. Plus, a lot of these creators have audiences made up of minors. Do we need stricter age restrictions on social media to protect younger users? This is genuinely corruption. How might this affect the next generation of men? And more importantly, how do we push back against it?

How I "growth hacked" Instagram (UPDATE)

For years I tried being original, filming quality content, building an audience the right way, doing everything the big creator coaches were telling me. You know what that got me? Like $8 after months of effort. I also wasted way more than that trying to buy engagement. Don't do it. Complete waste. Here's what I did instead. I stopped trying to be unique and started actually studying what was already working. Not in a vague way. I mean I spent real time tracking what was getting pushed in my niche, what formats were showing up over and over, what kinds of videos the algorithm was clearly rewarding right now. Then I made my version of that. Use SocialHunt for a lot of this now because manually scrolling for hours trying to spot patterns is a full time job on its own. Also use vidIQ for the YouTube side of things. There's a smaller tool called Tikmatics that catches TikTok format and audio trends really early before they hit everywhere, barely anyone uses it. I also figured out that a ton of the reels blowing up were using comment triggers. Saying "comment this word and I'll send you something" in the caption or on screen. Since everyone doing well was doing this, competing without it was fighting with one hand tied behind your back. Started doing it on every post. Views started coming in. Some reels crossing 20K, a few hitting 50K to 500K. Eventually got a DM from a brand outreach coordinator. They paid me to mention a product in a video. Hit $5K in a single month from brand deals. Problem was I was spending way too much time going back and forth on emails just to get paid. Lots of scammers too. Always ask for 50% upfront. Never trust otherwise. Couldn't break past $5K for a while. Then I saw a similar account selling a digital guide on how to make videos like theirs. Thought it was stupid at first. Why would someone watching your content buy a guide from you? Felt backwards. But I stopped trying to reinvent things so I did it anyway. About 10 posts a month went to sponsors. The other 20 promoted my own guide. Mentioned it in descriptions, told people to comment for a free version, then upselled from there. Somehow it worked. When you're pulling millions of views a month even a tiny percentage buying a $20 guide adds up fast. Sold 300+ copies the first month. Also put affiliate links inside the guide for tools I actually use and started collecting commissions from that too. Monthly income from this Instagram hit $12K. Happy to answer questions if anyone has them. // UPDATE After the original post took off I got flooded with messages. Here's what happened since. A bunch of people suggested I upload the same reels directly to YouTube Shorts right after posting. They were right. Reach started slow but some videos are now crossing 100K views there. The best part is I can offer that reach to existing sponsors as bonus distribution without making a separate video. Easy upsell. I don't use post schedulers. My income depends on this now and I don't want to test anything that might break it. Last time I tried one my reach took a hit. For people asking to see examples without me exposing my niche, just search "would you rather" or "Reddit stories" or "texting stories" on Instagram or YouTube Shorts. That's the format. What is engagement on LinkedIn?

Everyone talks about "boosting engagement" but nobody actually breaks down what that means practically. Likes, comments, shares, clicks they all count differently and yet most people treat them the same. From what I have seen comments carry the most weight both for the algorithm and for actual human memory. When someone leaves a genuinely thoughtful comment I remember their name way longer than whoever wrote the original post. Is that just me or does anyone else experience linkedIn that way?

I post me in events, me reviewing stuff I watch, all that jazz. no matter how much i try to tweak my stuff, my engagement and follower count donesn't seem to go up. I've been seeing plixi on my ig feed more and more lately, and was wondering if anyone has first hand feedback about it? i've been googling it and all that comes up are curated answers and bot replies. did your engagement improve or did your numbers just go up? If youre still reporting reach and watch time to clients, youre reporting the output and not the thing that caused it

this is the bit of client reporting i got wrong for a long time. reach is the result. watch time is a gate, it decides whether a video survives the pool its already in. neither of them tells you why one post went further than another, so a deck full of them explains nothing and every month you end up writing some version of the algorithm was quieter this month the ratio that tracks expansion better is shares over accounts reached. instagram doesnt show it, you work it out per post, and the per post bit matters because absolute share counts scale with reach and then you end up congratulating yourself for a video that just got lucky with distribution two honest caveats before you put it in a deck. the shares figure in insights isnt cleanly dm sends, so its a proxy. and theres no industry benchmark worth quoting, which means the first month you track it you cannot say this is good or bad about anything. you can only build the account its own baseline. i would tell the client that upfront rather than let them assume the first number is a verdict. what it buys you is a real answer to the question clients actually ask, which is why did that one work. if a post beat the account median on share rate you can point at it and say people passed this to someone, and then go look at what made it passable. if it didnt, the video held attention and gave nobody a reason to move it, and thats a brief problem not a distribution problem. the honest limit here is that this is one input out of several and im treating it as more load bearing than i can prove. if anyone is tracking it across a few accounts id like to know whether it holds up or whether its just the metric of the month

18 and skipping college, trying to build a remote career with actual flexibility. Looking to talk to people who've done this

Hey everyone. I'm cross posting this in a few different subs since I know a lot of you probably overlap, so sorry if you see it more than once. Figured it's better to ask in a few places instead of blowing up one sub with a giant thread. Little bit about me. I'm 18 and just decided to skip college. I'm trying to figure out how to actually build a remote career that has real flexible hours and pays decent, not just "remote" on paper while I'm still stuck to a strict schedule or working 60 hour weeks. I'd honestly rather take it slow and build something sustainable than rush into something that burns me out before I even get going. I'm leaning toward stuff like freelance editing, marketing, or other service based online work. Not really trying to get into cold calls or heavy sales, more interested in something where I can actually build a skill, work with clients, and have control over my own time. That said I'm not dead set on freelancing specifically, I'm also totally open to just landing a remote job with an actual company if that ends up being the better path. I don't have a portfolio or any real experience yet so I'm not expecting anyone to just hand me clients or a job. Mostly I just want to talk to people who've actually done this, either side. What worked for you, what didn't, how'd you land your first few clients or your first remote job, how long did it realistically take before it started paying real money, and what do you wish someone had told you at 18 before you started.
