Should I create content on only one platform or is two platforms fine?

I'm looking to create content for my web design and development business. I want to go into video content, so I identified that YouTube & Instagram could be great channels (TikTok is banned in my country).

Now, some people advise focusing on one platform before moving to the next. While some say to post on multiple platforms to cater to different audiences.

Now I understand that every platform works differently and demands different stuff. Making a reel on Instagram will have a different process than making a YouTube video.

But even if I have that understanding, should I go for one platform, or both? If one, then how to identify which one I should start on?

Every platform has a different algorithm and it depends on your content, which platform to choose. But being everywhere is not the good idea.

I would do both... But treat one as the primary platform, and the other as distribution, rather than trying to build two completely separate content systems.

For web design, YouTube could hold the deeper tutorials/case studies, then Instagram can use short ideas, before/afters, and clips from the same work. That way you're testing two audiences without literally doubling the workload. Which one is closer to where your actual clients already spend time?

I’d choose based on what you can realistically keep doing for 6 months. Two platforms are fine if the second one is mostly repurposed content. If doing both means you post twice on each and burn out, one platform is better.

everyone is asking why the views are fine and the follows are dead, and i think the answer is boring and structural, not the algorithm punishing anyone. think about why you used to follow an account. you followed so you would see their stuff again. that was the entire deal. now the feed serves you whatever it wants either way, and if that person makes another good video you will probably get shown it regardless. so following costs the viewer a slightly messier feed and gives them almost nothing back. the trade stopped making sense. which means "follow for more" is asking people to pay for something they already get for free. no wonder it quietly stopped working. the follows that still happen look different to me. people follow when they want to find you again on purpose. not to receive you, to locate you. thats a completely different job and it needs a different reason. a series where they want the next part. a name for the thing you do. something on the profile that signals there is more of this and its organised, not just one good video and then vibes. heres the part im not certain about and would like people to push back on. if this is right, two accounts making equally good videos should convert views into follows at wildly different rates depending on whether theres a recognisable recurring thing on the profile, and hook quality should barely matter for the follow specifically. it obviously still matters for the view. so if you run a series or a named format, does your follow rate look different from your one off posts? id like to know if this holds up or if im talking nonsense.

Any people that runs 100 to 10k followers pages (any social media)?

Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). I want to offer them a way to post their content, or to get content created and posted for them on existing TikTok pages. Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time. You get paid every month, and all you have to do is basically connecting the account once to our system. You can opt-out anytime you want, you keep the full ownership of the account. That's basically a way to monetize your pages passively. For now I'm doing it myself with my own pages (3 tiktok pages with 500 to 3k followers, and 1 6k subscribers Youtube channel), I made around $800 renting these for less than a month. LinkedIn Engagement for Corporate page has tanked

Anyone else feeling this way? I manage the corp pages for a b2b company and I’m noticing our post engagement and impressions have absolutely tanked in the last year. I’m not sure why. I’ve been sticking to strategies that are proven to drive up engagement (and usually work) but it feels like nothing is helping. I’m shocked when I see how low the impressions and engagement are. Anyone else feeling this way? Any advice on how to get a corporate page out of this rut?
