Some people are just jerks, looking for marketing help from the gurus here for my 13 year old daughters' 'business'
Imagine you work all summer, as a then 12, old to launch your own business. She did EVERYTHING herself, AI generated website, manually built a database of service locations (this took her about 30 hours, cemetery locations), Order taking ability, payment processing and customer database built within that site. Logo's, flyers, business cards, social media accounts..etc..all done by her
Months of work, and last night (9.15.2026) she decided to go live...and by live basically sharing her FB profile on my facebook page, an various local FB 'service provider' groups.
Then.. last night about a half hour later...
"Dad!!! we got a comment" Then dead silence...
Greg Colton (Family Guy Director), who I've known for probably 20+ years, posted this comment. It's been delete but I have a screen shot (not sure I can attach it but will try)
"Sorry, she created nothing. This is AI slop & children should not be using it. This kills any identity a brand might want to have & closes Wallets"
The kid literally had a tear running down her face when I got to the table she was working at.
I'd love for her to get home from school today and have a $hitton of followers.
As someone that obviously knows NOTHING about the market, What do you guys suggest?
The business is called Shine After Life, which is a headstone cleaning service in the Buffalo NY area inspired by her grandpa (my dad) who is no longer with us.
I'd like to post the FB page and website so you can see what she's done but I am not sure it's allowed?
Many Thanks to all who chime in!
