Separating the art from the artist

With regard to separating the art from the artist. I wish artists would do away with the artist statement. I understand people want to contextualize their work but, I feel the work should always be a standalone piece. I don’t want 8 paragraphs as a preamble to appreciation.

I will separate art from the artist when the artist is dead and there's no way their legacy will cause harm

I am talking about jk terfing, but I am also talking about hp lovecraft. Tho I did hear lovecraft kinda walked back on what he said and believed. Guess who I didn't hear to ever done something similar

I use the "seperate the art from the artist" method for Person of Interest. Amazing show, amazing cast...except Jim Caviezel. And Smallville, Allison Mack is nuts.
