Fellas, did you understand her point straight away?

I didn't know about the white van until my 3rd or 4th year of marriage. I was in my 30s, was raised by women, have a sister, a niece that I helped raise and had absolutely no clue or fear of white vans until an argument with my wife started that conversation.

I never even walk by a van on the side of the sliding door. Things little girls are taught.

We call them child molester vans and our whole friend group was taught to avoid them regardless of gender. 

How can one do better when you only insinuate the point you are trying to make?

I think that’s a bit of a overreaction even from a safety point of view

Is this an American thing? Curious to hear thoughts from non-American women. We live in Ireland and my wife and I have not had this conversation once in many years of marriage.

some people genuinely cannot tell the difference between kidnapping tropes in fiction and the reality of real life criminal acts of kidnapping and its honestly insane.

People miss the point all the time and get mad about it.

This feels like discrimination against white van owners. Those are mainly for kidnapping children, not adult women. /s

Dude the white van scare makes no sense though not saying it not good to be wary but statistically rapist, kidnappers and other scary people don’t drive more white vans. Or have I missed the point about being obscured from vision?
