Who told you content has intrinsic value? It does not, it can have value, but a lot of content does not. As for your cheese hook, just make sure you make snappy cuts to get to the video body and not linger on the hook, I guess

Everyone talks about "boosting engagement" but nobody actually breaks down what that means practically. Likes, comments, shares, clicks they all count differently and yet most people treat them the same. From what I have seen comments carry the most weight both for the algorithm and for actual human memory. When someone leaves a genuinely thoughtful comment I remember their name way longer than whoever wrote the original post. Is that just me or does anyone else experience linkedIn that way?

I’ve always wondered how much consistency really matters compared with simply posting less often but having something genuinely useful or interesting to say. There seems to be a lot of pressure to post every day now. For people who actually manage social accounts, what have you seen work better: posting frequently, or posting only when you have something worth putting out? And has that changed depending on the platform?
So my dad tasked me with coming up with posts for his personal LinkedIn account to grow his personal brand and like sort of get more work and all that. So the goal was to sort of paint him as an authority figure in his space right? Now the only problem is I basically know nothing about the industry… So I made the first post, I even sent him the text and image I would use alongside it before posting it to get a green light…making sure I’m not saying some bs. Now the text was perfect, but apparently the image I chose to go along with it had some major safety concerns which neither me, my dad or Claude thought about. I’m really gonna sound crazy but I don’t get how Claude allowed me to do this. Like I asked it is this a good picture to go along with the post. And it said it’s the best one I’ve suggested so far???? Like looking back at it the safety concern is so obvious so I don’t get how AI wouldn’t see it like bro ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ Anyways. So I post and we get some early traction but nothing crazy, then this morning (2 days later after I posted it) it started gaining crazy traction like 1k impressions per hour. And it was sitting at 22K impressions and one person left the comment calling out the safety concern. And in 2 hours it got 10 likes. Then someone replied to that and agreed. Then about 20 minutes before I deleted it another person called out the safety concern so I could see where this is heading and I decided to delete it. I was debating what to do. Should I reply to acknowledge the safety oversight and say how it’s not safe and we don’t do it again and blah blah blah or just delete it. I ended up going with delete it as even if I replied more people would still leave those comments and it probably wouldn’t look the best for future people checking out the profile. My question is whether deleting it was the right move? Tbf there was plenty of comments left before someone called out the safety concern so I guess most people aren’t worried about that…idk… **A few things I’m hoping to get advice on from the community** **Was deleting it 100% the right move?** Or should I have tried to pivot the caption to an "educational safety warning" to save the 22k viral momentum? **Is 22k impressions a massive deal on LinkedIn?** Will people actually remember this a month from now, or does the feed move too fast? **How do I workflow this moving forward?** Since I don't know the industry and my dad missed it too, what boundaries should I set so we don't accidentally post a regulatory hazard again? I feel like if I sent my post + image to another AI to evaluate it from a legal/ safety perspective it would have flagged it, idk tho. Am I ok to post again in about 3 days? Like idk will people call me out again? Should I wait like a week or two before starting to post again? My plan was 2 weekly posts but now I’m scared lmao? Hi! Is it unprofessional for supervisor to have a public personal instagram account? There is basic normal pictures of me, my husband and dog, some humor things and what podcasts/music I listen to. So it's just a basic personal account, but often I see supervisors with private accounts... So what thoughts on that?
I've been looking at social traffic reports more closely lately, and I keep running into the same problem: a platform can look successful while doing almost nothing for the business. Lots of impressions and clicks, but very few people stick around, return, enquire or buy. I used to compare platforms mostly by sessions and CTR. Now I'm more interested in whether the post and landing page make the same promise, and what people actually do after the click. I'm also not sure it makes sense to judge every network the same way. Someone arriving from LinkedIn may be researching a business problem. An Instagram visitor may need a shorter, more visual path before they're ready to act. The difficult part is deciding when there's enough evidence to stop investing in a channel. Low volume makes the data noisy, but "awareness is hard to measure" can also become an excuse to keep doing something that isn't working. Have you ever stopped using a platform that was sending plenty of traffic because the visitors were the wrong fit? What convinced you?
