Facebook is offering creators from tiktok and youtube real money to post there and the reaction has been rough

meta launched this in march, paying creators with existing followings on tiktok, instagram or youtube up to a few thousand dollars a month just to also post video on facebook. one reddit thread about it had a comment that stuck with me, someone said it plainly, looks like facebook is trying hard to pull creators away from tiktok and youtube, which is basically the whole strategy stated out loud

the response from creators who actually tried it wasnt great. one person said they made ten cents off 275 thousand views. another with over 300 thousand followers said most posts were only getting 20 to 30 reactions total. the money is there upfront but the distribution once youre in doesnt match the size of the audience youre bringing over

theres history here too that a few people brought up, facebook ran a gaming creator program back in 2018 that worked fine at first and then quietly got worse once payments dropped. people arent just being cautious for no reason, theyve seen this exact move from this exact platform before

still, free money for cross posting something you already made is hard to say no to even with all that in mind, the actual math is going to be different depending on account size

if facebook offered you this tomorrow, would the reach numbers above be enough to make you say no

If it's the Breakthrough Bonus, I completed my three months at the end of last year. Made $5,000 a month and posted my entire TikTok library on FB within those three months, a total of 250-280 videos. I don't see any downsides to giving it a shot.

Meta isn’t to be trusted. I know many creators that are demonetized after a while for vague reasons. They lure you in the beginning then they pull off their vague guidelines to limit the reach.

So I have done this program twice. The first time I was making $1500/month for 3 months. The program ended for me and I went from tens of thousands of views per video to 20-30. I only post stuff from IG that gets cross posted to FB because it’s a complete waste of time. They started the bonus program up again and I started posting a lot. This time my views were garbage. I’m back to just posting from IG to FB. Just a waste of time. Oh, 260k followers on FB.

For reference, I have 16k followers on X. I get like 200-400 times the engagement on X.

I’d still test it if the content is already made, but I wouldn’t treat the upfront payment as proof that Facebook can build a useful audience. I’d compare reach, watch time and actual follower growth for a month—the extra platform is only worth it if the cross-posting workflow stays genuinely low-effort.

I have about 113k followers on Instagram and made $1k a month over three months with the creator bonus on Facebook once they offered it to me. I have thousands of original content videos on Instagram so I just posted that old content onto Facebook. It was some easy cash. They had other bonuses too so I made a few hundred extra bucks with that. Now that the three month creator fast track bonuses are over, it truly doesn't pay much per video and they mostly push my content to low-paying countries, but I'll take an extra $5-100 bucks a month where I can get it. I'm still getting high views and like counts, though the engagement percentage is pretty low (I'll get 550k views with 2k likes or something). I have a full-time job outside of my social media so it's really just a bonus for me and I'm not too concerned about the numbers.

facebook will humble you real quick. ten cents doesn't even cover the emotional damage of seeing a 300k audience turn into 20 confused likes.

Does TikTok distribute videos based on where you are located?

I recently started a TikTok account where I share my experience living abroad in my native language. I expected my videos to reach people in my home country who are curious about what life is like here. But most of the people watching and commenting seem to be people from my same country who already live here too. They comment things like “I felt the same when I moved here.” It feels like TikTok is mainly showing my videos to people in the country where I currently live rather than people back home. Does TikTok prioritize showing videos based on the creator’s location at first? Or will the algorithm eventually reach people in other countries who speak the language?

Your content is mainly formats, subjects, and user value. in that order. 1. Format - steal your formats from other accounts that are doing well right now. For my account, before & afters work best, followed by 4-part transformation videos. Followed by talking to the camera storytimes. \*once you find a video format that works keep using it ver and over until you literally hit 1M views or followers. If its working, keep doing it. duh.\* 2. subjects - what is your video about? pick 1 subject and every video is a slight variation of that. mine is my transformation story. ("I went into the hospital for psychosis, after that I got super depressed, then I knew I wanted to make a change, so I founded my company \[name redacted\] and focused on trying to build a life.") 3. user value - why tf would anyone watch you? they dont care about you, they care about themselves. Are you showing something they need to see? Giving unique/accurate/useful advice? Offering a valuable shift in perspective? Connecting them to resources? (My personal approach to user value is to give it all away for free. Leave it all on the floor. If I know something of value to you I will simply tell you for free and generously. If my app is good, you will use it. If my content is good, you will follow me without me needing to do any bamboozling). So there is it! Format, Subject, User Value is my high level blueprint. Every account doing well in my niche is using the exact same format and its kind of unsettling

went digging into the top performing accounts in a niche i follow closely, expecting to see some spread, different formats, different approaches. found basically one shape repeated over and over, someone talking straight to camera, educational tone, the same three or four hook styles rotating checked across 50 plus videos and there wasnt a single one using b-roll or footage-led storytelling instead of talking head. not one. which either means talking head is just the objectively strongest format for that topic, or it means everyone copied whoever won first and nobody has actually tested anything else in years i lean toward the second explanation, because the highest performers in that same set also had engagement patterns that looked more like a comment funnel than real interest, so "winning" and "actually working for the business behind it" might not be the same thing here at all curious if this is specific to my niche or something that shows up everywhere once you look close enough

I joined giggles about 3 days ago, after being referred by a friend. Not even 24 hours in and I find women (and men) in extremely revealing clothes. (Bikinis, underwear etc). I brushed off the incident as a one-time thing, and I thought the moderators would fix the issue. (Hint: they did not). Just one day later, I found pornography. It's just so ironic that a social media platform, aimed at gen alpha/Z (Don't believe me? They use terms like 'Aura' as non-physical money) is not doing anything about the NSFW content on the platform. I think it is absolutely disgusting that moderation is non-existent, and is quite literally a porn site pretending to be a social media platform. How do you organically promote an event using static posts and get people to register online? What about the business itself?

Hello! I have a little bit of design and Canva know-hows but entirely clueless on what makes a post good and engaging. I'm creating static fb posts for a relative's business to promote their training seminar (in the agribusiness niche). Do you have any tips/strategies on how I should make them? Maybe some copy/design hooks too that have worked for you? I was thinking to make static posts about the speakers and what the topics are in the training. Or do you think making short-form content is better to promote this kind of event? And how do I go about promoting the business itself or grow their presence using static posts? They have a decent following, with most of them following their personal account, not their FB business page. He had some partnerships/sponsorships with the government too for the trainings. Facebook page bug reposting 3 times in iphone app

I’m so frustrated that there is no customer service at Facebook. I’ve had the same problem for months now. I post a photo or a reel on my Facebook page through the iPhone app and it post three times. I have no other apps connected to my account other than Instagram. If I post it through Instagram and post one time. However, there’s times I need to post on Facebook and when there are three versions, I have to delete two and that downgrade the remaining one as a repeat. This is costing me money and time. Any ideas?
