Yes, that's the problem. He told you he wants $20/h and you told him to "get bent". I've spent my whole life in this line of work. Specifically horses. Offering accommodation AND salary on top of work is the industry standard. If you want someone to work for less than $20/h, or you want someone to live in your place for free (in exchange for rent, as they like to call it), but without any monetary compensation, you are looking for a glorified slave. Just like you dont like working 80 hours a week for little in return, why would anyone else come do it for you? Pay up or drown. I bet she laughed at him when he asked for health insurance, too.

20 dollars a hour is totally reasonable for farm work. Farm work is hard fucking work. 

I was about to say, "I feel bad for her" until her reaction to someone asking for work was "Get bent."

There's a hundred ways you could frame the fact that you weren't going to pay someone in a video like this. She could jave said, "I just dont lodging for people and 20$ an hour would make my business fall apart," or just "I wasnt able to do that for him." But instead on video whete shes talking to the world she went with "I told hom to get bent."
