TFW you’re about to say the most obvious thing in the world on social media and get absolutely massive engagement.

I mean yeah that's just how psychiatry talks about neurological phenomenoms. Mental health issues doesn't mean there's a fundamental deficiency that shouldn't be there.  If neurologically your brain's chemistry is fucked a certain that's how it's gonna be called and categorised so there's access to specific medication that can help.

I've developed DID because I was living through torture in childhood. That was the most efficient and logical coping mechanism for my brain to do to survive but that's how my brain is now. Whether it's a logical development is kinda irrelevant to a diagnosis.

This is reality for me right now. I've had actual depression when I was younger when everything in my life was fine. And I never thought about suicide back then but now? I go to sleep hoping I might not wake up and my suffering ends.

Careful.

“Im not depressed everything just sucks” is dangerous for people who may actually have a brain chemical imbalance.

Okay but like... I was diagnosed with clinical depression and social anxiety disorder. Sometimes people are actually depressed and sometimes it's situational. Let's not negate mental health issues.

I've always felt like I have "situational" depression. My life has been fucked up for years in different ways. One thing gets a little better, only to have some other thing take it's place. I feel like if the threshold for stress lightened up for me a little bit, my mental health would improve. But it doesn't.

Can’t stand people who claim to be know alls when it comes to psychology.
Some disorders you don’t need to have some troubling issue going on in life to suffer,
Some happen naturally, genetically and it’s insulting to some people to just claim it’s a simple A or B thing in solving your mental issue or disorder.
It’s not a one size fits all thing.

And yet the media says nothing is wrong and it’s time to consume.
