The random death threats from men on TikTok is unreal

I’m a 32 year old woman who literally just posts makeup, healthy living, lifestyle, a little faith content, some silly rants etc. Nothing harmful, just me and my little group of fun followers who engage.

The amount of men who come into my comment section here and there and leave death threats on my videos is absolutely unhinged. It doesn’t usually bother me but every once in a while I really stop and think “wtf?” You know? Like why do men get so angry at women for just existing online? You really gotta wonder.

The anonymity really brings out the worst in people, it’s like they forget there’s an actual human on the other side of the screen. I had to turn off my DMs on every platform, the unhinged stuff strangers feel comfortable typing is wild

I don’t get it too bad on TT… but YouTube is so bad, I can’t even look at my comments. I just completely ignore all of my YT comments. I suggest reporting the comments if they’re really bad.

There are a ton of miserable people just on social media that will say disgusting shit. I’ve gotten tons of threats now desensitized. Also I make sure that I don’t actually put my location or where I live. I tag a whole different state.

Receiving a warning strike for commenting about Trump

Can’t remember what I commented on, but I think it was a news page, and I asked “can we talk about how he said he rigged the election?”, and I received my first and only warning strike for violating community guidelines, although they don’t say specifically what I violated… has this happened to anybody else since TikTok came back??
