Is it worth creating a separate Facebook page for affiliate marketing/content creation?

I'd add two things to the naming debate. First, name the page after what people get from it, not after you. A clear topic plus a word like finds or picks works. People follow for the benefit, and it makes the page easier to find when someone searches.

Second, don't launch it empty. Post eight to ten things first, each with a photo, your honest opinion and who it suits, and only then tell your profile followers about it. A bare link looks like spam, while a short review looks like help.

Also say plainly when a link is an affiliate link. Platforms and advertising rules expect it, and followers trust you more when you're upfront.

Keep your profile going while the page grows. You don't have to pick one.

I started a separate page for exactly that reason and it was the best move I made for my own sanity. your friends and family are probably already clicking out of politeness, not because they’re actually in the market for that stuff, and that wears thin quick

building a page from scratch is slower but the people who follow are actually interested, so the engagement and trust are way better in the long run. I saw a noticeable difference in conversion rates once I made the switch

the trick is to cross-promote a little on your personal profile when you launch, just a casual “hey if you’re into this kind of thing I started a page” and then let the algorithm do its thing

I'd start a separate Page, but keep the profile that's already bringing affiliate sales. Put the product recommendations on the Page and mention it once on your profile so interested people can move over. Use separate tracking links and compare clicks and sales for four weeks before shifting your effort.

You don’t need to choose between your name and a brand name: “Katie [topic]” or a short, distinctive brand can make the Page easier to tell apart while still feeling personal. I’d keep your monetized profile active, try the Page with a clear niche and a few posts, then compare which one brings in genuinely interested followers and sales.
